Walt Disney World Countdown

In just a few short weeks, I’ll be returning to WALT DISNEY WORLD for my birthday; which has become one of my favorite ways to celebrate the past few years.  What’s not to love about visiting magical lands, going on an African Safari, wine tastings around the world, Mickey shaped ice cream and hugs from your favorite movie characters?  It’s the BEST!  My boyfriend and I will be returning to our favorite hotel, THE BOARDWALK INN.  Not just home to a beautiful hotel and Ample Hills Creamery, but also just a short walk to transporting myself to France at Epcot’s World Showcase.

It’s my favorite time of year at EPCOT, the Flower + Garden Festival where you will find the prettiest topiaries and have endless tasty options for savory and sweet treats all over the park.

My birthday is also Earth Day and I’ll be sharing it with Animal Kingdom who turns 20 that day.  I’m just a weeee bit older 😉  Not just full of animal explorations but Animal Kingdom also has some of the best ‘Insta worthy’ walls of all the parks.  Many of them you have to really search for but then treat yourself to a Dole Whip with Rum!  They also have an amazing special tour where for just $30 you can go behind the scenes to learn about the elephants living at the park and all of the amazing things the Disney Conservation Fund is doing to help prevent these beautiful animals from being extinct. (Your entire $30 also gets donated to the fund which I LOVE)

Another favorite activity of mine is to stroll down Main Street USA.  Whether morning or night, when you slow down and look around you’ll find so many hidden gems and fun activities. You can stop and play a game of checkers, hop on the phone to eavesdrop on some phone calls from a 1950’s party line, and take down the villains in Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom.

I’ve got my FastPass+ and dinner reservations ready to go.  We’ll be dining at some of our favorites and trying a few new restaurants at the parks and resorts.  My birthday dinner will be at one of the most special dining locations there is! (Visual clues in this post)  The big question isn’t whether I’ll have a LaVieEnRose cocktail and Dole Whip but how many can I enjoy in 5 days?
