This past December I had the great pleasure of sneaking off to Paris for a long weekend. Thank you last minute Delta flight deals! I love seeing the holiday lights of Paris but my main objective this trip was to visit the Musée des Arts décoratifs at the Louvre for the Christian Dior 70th Anniversary Exhibition. It was not easy as it has been one of the hottest tickets in Paris since opening but thanks to a special friend who saved the day, I was able to visit this magnificent exhibit. Spanning the 70 years of The House of Dior, the exhibit featured more than 300 couture pieces, vintage ads and photos, furniture and more archived by era and designer. To say it was beautiful would be an understatement.
As I walked through the uniquely themed rooms it was honestly not easy to hold back tears. To see Dior’s NEW LOOK in person along with gowns worn by Audrey Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich and designs by John Galliano from his iconic runway shows that I studied in school was such a special experience that I will never forget. I hope you enjoy these images of some of my favorite looks at the exhibit.
xx, Angie
