Summer on the Left Bank

windows

Getting to live in Paris last summer to finish research for Bright Lights Paris was definitely a highlight of the year for me.  I used to think of myself more of a Right Bank girl but the more time I spent on the Left Bank, the more it felt like home.  From shopping at favorites like Le Bon Marche, Cire Trudon and Sabbia Rosa to relaxing and wandering through the Luxembourg Gardens or Musee Rodin, the Left Bank of Paris is pure perfection.  Not to mention the delicious delicacies at Clover, Treize Bakery, La Maison du Chou and Le Grande Mosque.   Enjoy this little tour of summers on the Left Bank

One of my favorite things to do on a weeknight in Paris is head over to Champillion Street in the Latin Quarter.  There you’ll find 3 movie theaters all playing vintage or independent films. My favorite last summer was seeing La Dolce Vita for the first time in a theater.  What’s your favorite place on the Left Bank?
