Growing up just over an hour from Walt Disney World made way for dozens and dozens of trips to the Magic Kingdom, Disney shopping and other parks. Having yearly seasonal passes made it even easier to just pop in for a few rides, tasty sweet treats and quick hello to Mickey and Minnie. One of my favorite and most vivid memories as a little girl was of visiting the France Pavilion at Epcot and catching my first glimpse and taste of Paris. It was there, in that little miniature France, while watching the panoramic video showcasing all the wonderful and beautiful things it has to offer; I became mesmerized and set on visiting Paris when I got older. It was just too magical not to love. As you’ll read in the introduction to my book, BRIGHT LIGHTS PARIS, it was here on this little piece of land, my true love of Paris first began. At the boutiques, you can find provencal kitchen linens, Bonne Maman jam, and even my favorite champagne, Moet + Chandon.
On our most recent visit, I brought a little bit of Bright Lights Paris with me to the place that started it all. Merci Beaucoup to the amazing Disney Imagineer’s who put so much thought and imagination into each and every part of the parks. The France Pavilion has so many special touches. When standing near the Bouquinistas, you can barely tell whether you’re in Paris or at Walt Disney World. Tuesday is the big day. Who’s ordered a copy of Bright Lights Paris? Share with me on social media by tagging your posts with #brightlightsparis. I’ll be sharing many of them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
